Reference Books for Starting Information

Reference sources (encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, atlases) give concise introductions to topics and can be an excellent starting point for psychology information.

    Use them to:
          1. explore topics for research
           2. get background information
           3. explain unfamiliar ideas and terminology

DeTamble Library has many Reference Books (print and ebooks) about psychology. Printed Reference books are on the first floor. You cannot check the print volumes out, but you can make copies of any pages or chapters you need. The online reference sources can be viewed or downloaded from a personal. All Reference titles can be located in the online catalog.
