According to the American Library Association, "Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individuals to 'recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information.'"
DeTamble Library utilizes the 'Framework for Information Literacy' as adopted in 2016 by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Board. We teach these crucial skills using subject guides, occasional videos & handouts, and partnering with faculty to teach these skills in the classroom.
