Why Use Reference Books?

Reference sources (encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, atlases) give concise introductions to topics and can be an excellent starting point for equine information.

Use them to: 1. explore topics for research; 2. get background information;   3. explain unfamiliar ideas.

DeTamble Library has many Reference Books (print and ebooks) about horses. You cannot check the print volumes out, but you can make copies of any pages or chapters you need. The online reference sources can be viewed or downloaded from a personal computer.
